Privacy policy

The short version

You can use every table, score and schedule without an account. Saved teams stay on your device. If you create an account or subscribe to Plus, we keep what we need to sign you in, bill you and send the alerts you asked for. We don’t sell your personal information. Free pages show Google ads, which use cookies; Plus members don’t get ads.

Who we are

Table & Pitch is run by Hallucination Engineering, LLC. The best way to reach us is by email: brianchoffman@gmail.com. We’re independent and not affiliated with MLS NEXT or ECNL.

What we collect

Without an account

Saved teams, your timezone choice and similar settings are stored in your browser. To show schedules, your browser sends the saved team IDs to our server; we don’t store them with anything that identifies you. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.

With an account

Your name, email address and sign-in method, handled by our account provider, Clerk.

With Plus

Your saved teams (so they sync across devices), your alert settings (email and push choices, alert types, quiet hours, timezone), a push subscription for each device you turn push on for, and a record of which alerts we sent so nothing is sent twice. Payments are processed by Clerk Billing and Stripe. We receive your plan and paid-through date, never your card number.

League data

Rosters on team pages can include player names. To ask us to remove a name, contact brianchoffman@gmail.com.

Advertising and cookies

Essential cookies. If you sign in, our account provider Clerk sets cookies that keep you signed in. The site can’t offer accounts without them. Settings like saved teams and timezone are kept in your browser’s local storage, not in cookies.

Ads. For visitors without Plus we show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, which may be personalized. Learn more at how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and turn off personalized ads at Google’s ad settings. Plus members don’t load the ad script at all.

Analytics. We don’t use an analytics service. If we add one, we’ll name it here first.

Who processes data for us

• Clerk: accounts, sign-in and subscription billing
• Stripe: card payments and refunds
• Supabase: database for synced teams, alert settings and alert records
• Resend: alert emails
• Web push services run by browser makers (for example Apple, Google or Mozilla): push notifications
• Vercel: website hosting
• Railway: background jobs that keep the site current and send alerts
• Google AdSense: ads for visitors without Plus

Each uses the data only to provide its service to us.

How we use it

To run the site, sync your teams, send the alerts you turned on, bill your subscription, answer support requests, and keep the service secure. We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t use your email for marketing without asking.

Children

Table & Pitch is meant for parents, guardians and other adults. Accounts and Plus are not intended for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Keeping and deleting data

Account and Plus data is kept while your account exists. Deleting your account (account menu → Manage account) removes your saved teams, alert settings, push subscriptions and alert delivery records from our database. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.

Every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and push can be turned off on the Alerts page or in your phone’s settings.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information by emailing brianchoffman@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example California, or the EEA and UK), you may have additional rights, such as objecting to certain uses or receiving a copy of your data. Email us to use them; we won’t treat you differently for asking.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date above and, for account holders, tell you by email before the change takes effect.
